Ideal Bagel in Atdens

I always love coming here for coffee and a bagel. The bagels are probably the best in town and the coffee is very good, especially the iced coffee. I really recommend the house fish on an everything bagel, but just a plain bagel with one of their many flavors of cream cheese is a great way to start off the day.

It was a pretty decent bagel spot. I wasn't a fan of the bagel I got but that's my fault.

Favorite Athens restaurant. Hands down. Affordable and delicious. The house made cream cheese is king!

Good bagels, good service. Good coffee too! Parking is hard, but that’s life in Athens. Service beats other bagel joints in the area.

I order the Cadillac Bagel. I love it. Sometimes they have a provalone bagel, it cost extra but it's more than worth it. Usually a wait but that not our of the ordinary for a place with great service and food!

Great breakfast and lunch stop, with creative twists on sandwiches. Beat Sunday morning crowds by arriving before 9:30 a.m.

Has to be the best bagels in Georgia. I'm from NYC and these would be great bagels in the city. Delicious vegetable cream cheese . Service is excellent and efficient. Coffee was also great.

This is a fun little hipster place that is a staple here in Athens, Georgia. Just down the street from downtown, Ideal Bagel offers free parking and delicious lunch options that are pretty affordable. It's a great place to stay or take your order to go. If you're a bagel fan, this place is pretty good!

Is this one of my favorite breakfast places In Athens? Yes. We always go when visiting my sister. I love their creative off the wall bagels. I’m a sucker for a peanut butter bacon combo and I always get that bagel combo.

Bagel with lox was fresh and delicious. The onions are pickled, reminiscent of the way we prepare onions in Latin cooking.

The most delicious sandwich I have had in Athens. The Gabby. Sooooo good. Those roasted veggies were amazing. The provolone cheese bagels were also very delicious. Very good all around. Price point was perfect! Bit grungy. Would love some reverse osmosis filtered beverages.

Fourth day this week I've had ideal for breakfast. Today my girlfriend and I each had a bagel sandwich. Then we split another one. Either we're trying to bulk up for winter or they're just that good. Mostly they're just that good 🤪

Ideal Bagel is always delightful. They have delicious house made cream cheese spreads and a wide variety of bagels. They are pretty good about moving a lot of people through, even if there is a line. My favorite is the herb cream cheese spread.

Love this place. Great prices, great bagels with the Luna bakery attached. Can’t beat the traditional lox bagel here. Seasonal spreads abound - my favorite combo was the Bailey’s cream cheese on a salt bagel

Awesome environment, nice and hipster. It's a great opened space. We had the Cadillac: bacon, fried egg, cheddar cheese on. An onion bagel. The bagel was good but I'm not a huge fan of onion bagels. Ask for a substitute I'd you can. Eggs, bacon and cheese were good. Bagel was toasted slightly too much. I'd go again though.

What a great bagel and sandwich shop! It's quaint, it's affordable, and I always enjoy my visits here.

My favorite bagel shop, especially in the summer when students are out of town. A good bagel is pretty rare in the South, but these are legit. Unusual cream cheese flavors like jalapeno garlic and espresso keep things interesting. If you go during the school year, expect parking to be an issue. You can park in the neighborhood to the south, and walk in if necessary.

Great selection of fresh made bagels and toppings. Multiple cream cheese spreads to choose from that all looked appealing. I has the smoked trout on an everything bagel. Delicious!

Anything bagel with the maple-pecan cream cheese is worth the trip.

I love it here! I've only been a couple of times, but it's been delicious and quick. I've ordered the Tupelo twice, but I'm going to get one of the fish bagels next.

This place just popped up one day a few years ago and quickly became my favorite breakfast place. Local, freshly-brewed coffee; local, freshly-baked bread. And the lox bagel really is amazing--don't forget to tell them to "sink the capers" if you don't want them rolling all over the place! Not a bad place for lunch either, when I usually pair the bagel with some fresh greens and their lemony dressing. Never brought a friend here who didn't love it as well.

Great bagels and interesting cream cheeses. (e.g. Bacon & tomato, chive & horseradish, etc.) The bagel had the right amount of gluten (aka "chew") and they put the toppings (sesame, salt, everything, etc) on both sides of the bagel. Very unique...great eatery...I'll be back for sure.

If you like a proper bagel, take time to come here. Bagels are excellent and their variety of cream cheese will cover most tastes. Made daily after dough is proofed for 12 hours. They also server deli sandwiches. Staff is friendly and efficient. Building is open and functional capable of seating 30+.

The food is always great and the staff are nice. There's not a lot of parking and there's usually a line, but its well worth the wait.

Bagels definitely weren't fresh and they only put one peice of lox.

At this unique establishment, you will find a variety of fresh, delicious bagels waiting for you. Oh, and you want special toppings besides my basic white girl cream cheese? Say no more. They have salmon, some other kind of special fish, meats, cheeses... you name it!! The line is usually long but there is a good reason for it. If you build the bagel, they will come!

Everyone comes here for bagels, but this is the best place in Athens to get a deli-fresh sandwich. They are great!

My first time here...being from Central NY I am familiar with good bagels. I heard they have a pumpernickel everything bagel so I had to stop by and get one. It was lunch time and I had the Reuben sandwich which is a personal favorite. It was ok but they used mustard and thousand island and the kraut was not very sauer. I will try something else next time I stop for a bagel, which was top notch!

Great deals on delicious bagels, spreads, and sandwiches, and plenty of variety. Friendly staff. It’s my default lunch choice!

My favorite affordable breakfast. Smoked salmon, cream cheese, tomato, capers, on the bagel of my choosing, for $7 or so. Bagel with cream cheese is even cheaper. Make it vegan with peanut butter. It's awesome. Location is pretty neat, too. It used to be a car dealership, I think? I really like this place, and of you want a good variety of bagels and cream cheese, it's the place to go.

Smoked GA trout please! Try all the flavored cream cheeses. Don’t put the smoked salmon cream cheese on your bagel with smoked salmon. This may sound obvious to you but my fiancé did it nonetheless. Not the greatest combo.

I can not say enough about the customer service here !!! I was visiting from out of town and went in for their awesome salt bagels. They were out. The super nice young man made some for me so I could take them home to my family. Ideal is one place we really miss about Athens !!!!! Best bagels ever !!!!

Absolutely worth trying at least once!! My friend took me here and I loved the food! The staff were all very friendly! My everything bagel with herbed cream cheese and "Dottie" bagel were both absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!

The place is a dump. You can tell their focus is on the food not on the atmosphere. The salsalito turkey sandwich was amazing and the bagels are great. The customer service is great too.

Get bagel sandwiches and the coffee is good too. Reccomend the Cadillac on plain bagel. Line can get long ago come early.
